I had a mixed experience at Olympia Hotel At Capitol Lake. While my room was spacious and comfortable with a nice view, the customer service was lacking, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. There were also some dated features in common areas, which detracted from the overall impression. 🌲🏨

Rooms

My room was large and comfortable, but I found dirt and grime on the walls, which was disappointing. The view was nice, and the bed was very comfortable.
Service

Unfortunately, the customer service was not as welcoming. I felt embarrassed during my check-in experience due to the rude behavior of staff. It definitely impacted my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, nestled in a park-like setting just off the freeway, making it convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were limited and not very satisfying, which was a letdown, especially since I had high expectations. However, the restaurant food was reasonably priced.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had nice facilities, including a reasonable area for car parking, but the common areas felt somewhat dated.

My stay at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake had its ups and downs. The location is stunning, right by the lake and surrounded by beautiful trees, creating a lovely atmosphere. However, I experienced some cleanliness issues in my room and the heating system didn't work properly. The staff, especially in the restaurant and bar, were friendly and helpful, which made my overall experience better.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a nice sized balcony with a fantastic view, but it definitely showed its age. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I hoped, and some maintenance needs attention.
Service
7.0
Staff were generally accommodating, especially in the dining area where they went out of their way to help during busy breakfast times. However, responses from the front desk could be better.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly situated in a park-like setting, close to gorgeous nature views and within easy reach to local shops and restaurants.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed my meals at the hotel, and the bar was cozy with a great atmosphere. The staff there were particularly friendly.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a decent set of facilities, but could use more updates. The lack of in-room coffee makers was a letdown, especially for an extended stay.

My stay at Olympia Hotel At Capitol Lake was a mix of highs and lows. The location is beautiful and peaceful, tucked away in a park-like setting. However, the dated rooms and several service issues left much to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
The Queen room I booked felt old and dated, and while it was somewhat clean, there were areas that could use some serious updating. The room did come with nice amenities like a microwave and fridge, but it lacked basic comforts like in-room coffee.
Service
5.0
Sadly, the service was disappointing. I faced unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff, making my check-in a frustrating experience. They seemed unprepared to handle simple requests and lacked a welcoming attitude.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located in a lovely park-like area, which provides a serene backdrop. It's slightly removed from the water but still accessible, making it a decent spot for some relaxation.
Dining
6.0
While the dining options were somewhat limited, the cafe provided a decent breakfast buffet. However, I felt that the continental breakfast could have been better planned.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's facilities were lacking, especially with the pool being closed during my stay. I also noticed a few minor issues like extra rugs that didn't match the decor and an ice machine only on the first floor.

5.2/10

I recently stayed at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake for a few nights, and while the location was fantastic with beautiful views, the hotel itself is showing its age. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but certain amenities like the pool were closed, and I felt there were some details lacking in room comfort.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and I appreciated the nice-sized balcony to enjoy the view. However, the furnishings felt a bit dated, and I found a musty smell which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff were warm and welcoming, and quick to provide assistance whenever needed. However, I encountered an issue with the breakfast I had pre-paid for, which was unavailable the next morning, leading to a frustrating experience getting a refund.
Location
8.0
The hotel is set in a beautiful park-like area not far from downtown Olympia, making it a great spot to explore the town and enjoy the nature surrounding it.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast at the hotel was a letdown since it wasn't available at the time I expected. The complimentary coffee in the morning was decent but could have been better than what I found. The restaurant serves great food otherwise, and I enjoyed the breakfast burritos when they were available.
Facilities
5.0
While I liked that there were both a microwave and refrigerator in the room, the pool was closed during my stay due to plumbing issues, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was no hot water option or tea available at breakfast.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Olympia Hotel At Capitol Lake. The hotel has a beautiful park-like setting and the lobby is stunning, but my experience was marred by a few issues. The room I stayed in was quite worn, and while the staff was friendly, it didn't quite make up for the overall state of the accommodations.

Rooms
6.0
The room had hardwood floors and a large TV, but it felt a bit outdated and worn. My bed was older and a little too spongy for my liking. Overall, it wasn't the most comfortable stay.
Service
7.0
The staff was nice and accommodating, but I encountered some frustrating situations, like the need to walk to the lobby for coffee. They were very willing to help but seemed overwhelmed at times.
Location
8.0
I really enjoyed the location, surrounded by trees and nature. It's relatively close to downtown, making it convenient for my day's adventures.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options could use some improvement-greasy pancakes and limited choices weren't ideal. I expected a bit more variety for the price.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was well-kept, and the grounds were relaxing, but I noticed some inconsistencies with the room facilities, like the lack of coffee makers.
